 About Bure Cottage

Bure Cottage, WroxhamBure Cottage is set in the exclusive Peninsular Marina by the banks of the River Bure at Wroxham, Capital of the Broads. The romantic self-catering cottage mostly faces the sun, a dinghy's distance from a private dyke with stunning bedroom views of the river.

All rooms decorated, new carpets and leather sofas fitted 2017 - and double glazing installed 2019. Sleeps four with all comforts.

Beds are made on arrival day - and unlike many of the other cottages there, prices include everything, no surprise for expensive electricity.  Weekly rental is Saturday-to-Saturday; short breaks Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings; or mid-week Tuesday to Friday. Extra days are possible - contact us about short breaks. Prices are very competitive, especially out of season.  Sorry, no pets or smoking.

Enjoy the lawn river frontage to watch boats, fish, or just relax with a bottle of wine. Marvel at swans and ducks swimming towards you - and at sunset, unwind on the decked terrace gazing at picnic-boats lazily sailing home. Finish your day dining in the rustic boathouse onsite bar and bistro, with a massive range of real ales.

Peninsular Gardens The tranquil riverside gardens are perfect to lounge among ornamental grasses, flowers and willows.  Watch boats chug by, hire your own, or take a river cruise on one of the many trips among Britain's largest protected wetlands. Magical waterways and lakes dotted with quaint unspoiled villages, windmills and old riverside pubs to explore. A paradise for nature lovers.

The famous 400-year-old Wroxham Bridge and village centre is just 5-minutes stroll. With pubs, restaurants, fish & chips,  launderette, Roy's shops, McDonald's and railway station. The ideal Norfolk location for a tranquil holiday for children or the not so young. So much to see and do, and close to the beaches of Great Yarmouth and the medieval city of Norwich.
